We wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the warm welcome Dainty Little Hands (DLH) has received. We are proud to be working in partnership with our Host School, Woodthorpe Junior and Infant School.
Dainty Little Hands Ltd Out of School Clubs are Ofsted Registered (our Setting Reference Number is 2527024) so you can be sure that our care meets the highest of standards. Our team members are qualified with recognised Childcare Qualifications, Pediatric First Aid, and Food Hygiene training, along with our Managers who are recognised as Designated Safeguarding Leads. Dainty Little Hands also build strong relationships with the Host School to ensure that all children are supported with their learning from School.
We provide the children in our care with an array of healthy snacks, which includes options such as:
- Sandwiches, Bagels, Crackers
- Vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, carrots etc.
- Fruit such as apples, pears, oranges etc.
Our children also have access to drinks throughout our sessions, which include:
- Squash
- Water
- Milk
All our food is prepared fresh on the day, and we take into consideration all dietary requirements to suit the needs of your children so snack can be provided to all.
Dainty Little Hands also provide activities to support the 16 areas of Play recognised to promote imagination, dexterity, and physical, cognitive, and emotional strength. Our children are encouraged to take part in activities which support their development in:
- Rough and Tumble Play, Creative Play, Socio-Dramatic Play, Communication Play, Symbolic Play, Social Play, Dramatic Play, Locomotor Play, Deep Play, Exploratory Play, Fantasy Play, Imaginative Play, Mastery Play, Object Play, Role Play and Recapitulative Play.
We include activities such as recycled junk modelling, painting/drawing, storytelling and outside play. This is not an exhaustive list, but we also provide:
- An array of board games
- Colouring sheets
- Wordsearches
- Dolls and figures for imaginative and fantasy play
- Lego building blocks
- Books for all ages
- Sensory Play using textures
- Enriching Cultural Capital by supporting Educators at School in a learning environment, such as Flag Making and celebrating Black History
If you are interested in booking your place with us, please click on the link provided for IPAL. IPAL is our online booking system which allows you to book your place with us at Club. We ask for a minimum of 2 weeks booking when you start with us, and then afterwards, we ask for bookings to be made no later than the Thursday of the week before for further bookings. Once you have signed up to IPAL, you will be able to add funds to your wallet and book the days which you need the provision for. All information will then be collated on an electronic register to ensure that all children remain safeguarded in our care and all relevant COVID-19 precautions can be taken to ensure that the children and staff are safe. Our price for After School is £12.00 per child per day and will run from the end of the School day until 5.45pm. Our price for Breakfast Club is £8.00 per child per day and runs from 7.30am until the start of the School day.
